Lisa Gerard

Lisa Rose Gerard is Native American and an enrolled member of the Blackfeet tribe. Lisa is a self-taught artist and from a very early age had a strong interest in drawing horses and has studied them extensively.  Artists C.M. Russell, Sam Savitt, and Will James were her strongest inspirations, but her artwork has taken on a style of its own.  Her parents were also a major influence & encouragement, both of them were musicians and her mother was an artist. 

Lisa works mainly with watercolors, but also uses oils, acrylics and soft pastels in her artwork.  She loves painting horses, but has also done wildlife, pet portraits and landscapes.  Lisa’s artwork has been seen internationally.  She has had artwork published in issues of Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, San Francisco.  She won the National Drawing & Photography contest sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in approximately 2015.  She has won multiple awards at the Montana Fair in Billings for the past several years for her photography and artwork.  Her art has also been displayed in the Sandstone Art Gallery in Billings MT in their spring art challenges. 

After her retirement in 2018, Lisa has been able to develop her painting techniques, and has a thriving business on eBay selling art trading cards and more.  You can find her works on the following social media sites:
